As the artist behind the United postNations (UpN) project, I was motivated to explore alternative approaches to traditional nation-states and citizenship models. Having worked in the citizenship by investment industry, I recognized the limitations and ironies of the prevailing citizenship and governance systems. While nation-states continue to hold an important role in international relations and cultural identity, I saw an opportunity to evolve beyond the concept of nationhood by providing a more dynamic approach to governance. Through the UpN, I sought to address the deficiencies of traditional citizenship models and provide a model that accommodates individuals' needs and aspirations in a rapidly changing global landscape.
